Viewing the List of Nodes Help 1 of 3
While viewing the list, press <Escape> to
change the timer values or exit the program
and stop this test.
Use the arrow keys and page keys to move
through the list.
Items on the list are explained on the next
screen.

Network: the Network ID if available.
Node: the Physical Node ID if available.
Unique User Information: the characters that
were entered when the program was started.
Date and Time: the last time a packet was
received or transmitted by this machine.

The asterisk on the right indicates which
line is the local information from the machine
you looking at.
Highlighted lines indicate nodes from which
this machine has not received a packet within
the dead timout period.
Options Help 1 of 2
You can select the following timer values.
BROADCAST DELAY PERIOD: the number of seconds
between broadcasts from this station.
Default: 15 seconds
DEAD TIMEOUT PERIOD: the time period within
which a transmission must be received from
another station or that station is assumed to be
"dead." If no transmission is received,
information about the transmitting station is
highlighted to indicate that it's probably dead.
Default: 60 seconds

All functions of COMCHECK are available from
the command line like this:
>COMCHECK /Bx /Dx nnn...
/Bx Broadcast delay time in seconds.
/Dx Dead timer value in seconds.
x Up to four decimal digits.
nnn... Unique user information.
Unique User Information Help 1 of 1
This information is included in the broadcast
that is made from this station at regular
intervals. It must be something that uniquely
identifies this station such as location,
phone number, etc.
This allows duplicate node addresses to be
detected.
